GP EXPRESS AIRLINESNebraska-based
GP Express began flying in 1986 and quickly established a route network
that connected points in Colorado and Nebraska.
Between 1992 and 1994 the airline provided Federally-subsidized Essential Air Service (EAS) flights between Atlanta and the following cities: Anniston, Gadsden, Muscle Shoals, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Laurel, MS, and Hilton Head Island, SC. With the exception of Atlanta- Hilton Head Island, all of these routes were originally flown by Southern Airways (which became Republic) and had subsequently been taken over and then abandoned by Atlantic Southeast and Southeastern. GP Express flew Beechcraft C99s from the Atlanta hub. ![]() Here is the cover and a page from the April 15, 1992 GP Express timetable showing new service in GA, AL, and MS beginning on June 6. ![]() NEXT AIRLINE: GULFSTREAM INTERNATIONAL BACK TO GALLERY INDEX If you would like to share photos, stories or additional information about any of the airlines, airports or aircraft on this site, please CONTACT ME I would love to hear from you!
